The full name of a molded pallet is a plant fiber molded flat industrial pallet. There are several forms of molded pallets, such as wood molded pallets and plastic molded pallets. The raw materials used for molded pallets are wood chips, plant straw and waste plastics. It is an integral structure, and the panel and 9 supporting legs are molded at one time. The upper surface of the pallet board is flat and smooth, which can meet the transportation of various goods, and the lower surface is equipped with reinforcing ribs. The board surface is balanced in the vertical and horizontal forces, and the nine legs are distributed to meet the four-way insertion of the forklift. It is a flat four-way fork single-sided pallet.

In 1971, Werzalit invented a patented technology for adding wood fiber materials mixed with thermosetting resin and wood particles to a metal mold to mold particleboard. Litco used this technology to establish the first molded particle pallet production enterprise (Presswood Pallet Plant) in 1979.

Molded industrial pallets are an important type of wood shavings molded products. They are mainly used for handling and storing goods in docks, cargo yards, warehouses, workshops, shopping malls, etc. They form a mobile unit or handling unit with the goods and cooperate with forklifts, transport trucks, cranes, etc. The general specifications of industrial pallets are 400 mm ~600 mm, 600mm~800mm, 800mm~1000mm, 1000mm~1200mm, 1100mm~1100mm. The dynamic load capacity ranges from 250kg to 1500kg, and the pallet weighs 10kg~20kg. The arc edge, trough beam and ingenious perfect reinforcement rib design of the pallet make the load factor as high as 80 (dynamic load). The wood shavings molded industrial pallet is a special-shaped, equal-strength thin-shell component with light weight and high strength. Its load capacity to deadweight ratio (load capacity) is as high as 60~80 (dynamic load) and 200~300 (static load).

The use of molded pallets in practice is still not popular enough. Most people still choose ordinary wooden pallets to carry out logistics operations of goods. It will take some time to promote the more environmentally friendly and more affordable molded pallets to various countries and markets.
